Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
Little Nod ("the app") helps parents and caregivers keep a record of a baby's feedings, diapers, sleep, medicine, growth, activities and photos. This policy explains what information the app handles and who can see it.
The short version
- Your information is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. The developer does not run a server and does not receive, collect, sell or share your information.
- There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking in the app, and it uses no third-party services.
- You choose who else can see a baby's log by inviting them. You can remove them or delete your data at any time.
What the app handles
Information you enter, stored only on your device and in your iCloud:
- Baby information: name, birthday, optional due date, sex (used only to compare measurements with growth charts), profile photo, and feeding preferences.
- Log entries: feedings (including formula brand and breast-feeding minutes), solid foods, diaper changes, sleep, medicine doses, growth measurements, activities and milestones, notes, and photos.
- Your profile: the name you give the app, an optional photo you choose, and a stable identifier from Sign in with Apple. The identifier is kept in your device's Keychain to keep you signed in. If Apple gives the app your name or email at sign-in, the app uses the name only to pre-fill your profile.
- Care team: the names, roles, contact details and photos you add for people who look after your baby, and the name of the person who logged each entry.
Where it is stored and who can see it
- On your devices. The app keeps a local copy so it works offline. Your Apple Watch gets a summary of your baby through your paired iPhone, and Home Screen widgets and the nap Live Activity read a small summary stored on your device.
- In your iCloud. The app syncs through Apple's CloudKit private database so your data appears on all of your devices. Apple processes this data under Apple's terms and privacy policy. The developer cannot access your iCloud.
- With people you invite. If you invite someone to a baby's care team, that person (using their own Apple ID) can see that baby's log — and add to it if you allow — until you remove them. Sharing is handled by Apple's CloudKit sharing. Anyone with access can see the names and photos on that baby's log.
What the app does not do
The app does not use advertising or analytics tools, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not sell or share your information. It requests photo access only through the system photo picker for the pictures you select.
Children's information
The app is designed for adults to record information about their own children. It is not directed at children, and the developer does not collect any information about children.
Your choices
- Edit or delete entries at any time inside the app.
- Remove someone's access from More → Care Team.
- Delete all of your data: Settings → Delete my data. This permanently deletes every baby you own, with all entries and photos, from iCloud and from everyone it was shared with, and signs you out.
- Stop Sign in with Apple for this app in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Little Nod.
- Deleting the app removes the local copy; data in iCloud remains until you delete it as above.
Health information
Little Nod is a record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Growth percentiles use the World Health Organization Child Growth Standards and describe typical growth in healthy babies. Talk to your pediatrician about any concerns.
